Charges breakdown
How it is calculated
Charges = brokerage (buy + sell) + STT 0.1% (buy + sell) + stamp duty 0.015% (buy) + NSE transaction charges + SEBI fee + DP charge + MTF pledge / closure + 18% GST on the taxable ones. MTF interest = buy value × funded % × yearly rate × days ÷ 365. The break-even price is the lowest sell price at which the net result is not negative.
Questions
Why does the break-even price matter?
With MTF, interest runs every day. The price has to rise above your buy price by enough to pay all charges and interest before you make any profit.
Is this the official calculator of my broker?
No. It is an independent estimate. Your plan and the final contract note can differ. Profit / loss is before income tax.
